Chairman and chief executive, French Connection

2010 has been the year that Stephen Marks got people noticing the French Connection brand again with one of the quirkiest and most interesting marketing campaigns of the year.

Marks’ collections continue to improve, particularly his menswear ranges, where he has finally let go of the old FCUK ties to embrace a rather slick-looking collection of premium classics.

He also offloaded designer business Nicole Farhi in the first half of the year and restructured French Connection’s international business.
