You wonder what George at Asda will do next, but its brand director just keeps on innovating. This year, Fiona Lambert spearheaded the launch of Thingo, a £9 Lycra T-shirt to help clip bingo wings, a special 21st anniversary capsule collection, and Manx, £10 bodysculpt trunks for men complete with side panels to hold down ‘love handles’ and shape the thighs. On a more serious note, George became sponsor of Graduate Fashion Week, with the aim of diversifying graduates’ knowledge of job opportunities in the market. Asda also threw its weight behind the skills training and education of fashion students with the launch of an open house Education Day and fully funded university programme.
