Simon Poole scooped the Young Fashion Brand of the Year prize at the Drapers Awards in November for Luke, which has cemented its reputation as the most indie-centric menswear brand in the market.
Poole has slipped down the rankings this year but it’s not due to a weaker performance in 2010; it’s just tough to top 2009’s initiatives like offering discounts to stockists and challenging multiple retailers’ in-season discounting strategies. Poole diversified Luke’s offer by launching a womenswear collection for autumn 10 and he continues to offer key stockists the opportunity to become franchise store partners.
Together with designer Luke Roper, Poole combines great product with strategic prowess to offer one of the most respected and best-selling brands in the market.
