89 Mohamed Al Fayed

Owner, Cocosa

He may have sold department store Harrods to Qatar Holdings for £1.5bn last year, but the fashion industry hasn’t seen the last of the eccentric Mohamed Al Fayed. It wasn’t long before he re-entered the market by acquiring etailer Cocosa in July this year. Al Fayed bought the off-price private Sales site for an undisclosed sum and in October it was announced that its membership wall was to be brought down to boost the number of new customers. With Al Fayed at the helm, we expect to be hearing a lot more noise from Cocosa next year.
