Top 100: 16. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge

Despite slipping down the rankings this year without the boost of that dress, there’s no denying ‘the Kate effect’ is still holding strong, with no other celebrity coming close to helping sell frocks like our favourite princess. Whether it’s Jenny Packham, Alexander McQueen, Roksanda Ilincic or one of her high street favourites, the Duchess continues to fly the flag for British fashion and we continue to lap up her every look. While many find her style somewhat bland (black courts with practically everything hardly stretch the bounds of imagination), the high street has a lot to thank her for - she’s been credited with boosting the British economy to the tune of £1bn as shoppers eagerly emulate her affordable style.

Did you know? At 29, Catherine was the oldest person ever to marry a future British King.
