Top 100: 32. Natalie Massenet

Incoming chairman, British Fashion Council; executive chairman, Net-a-Porter

Natalie Massenet’s biggest news this year is her appointment as chairman of the British Fashion Council (BFC) from January 1, 2013. She’ll be able to use her close relationship with British designers and luxury brands built up during her time at Net-A-Porter. Continuing in her role as executive chairman of Net-a-Porter, Massenet made three key appointments this year, promoting buying director Holli Rogers to fashion director and Jenny Cossons from publisher to group head of brand relations, while Tess Macleod Smith was appointed to the position of group publishing director and Lucy Yeomans was named as editor-in-chief in March 2012. Massenet also led an online strategy to drive customer engagement and advertising.

Did you know? Massenet made Tatler’s 2012 Most Eligible Ladies list alongside the likes of Pippa Middleton and Emma Watson.
