Top 100: 60. Ed Burstell

Managing director, Liberty

Liberty might be quintessentially British, but at its helm is a sparky, American managing director who likes to shake things up. This year, Liberty became the exclusive stockist of Mary Portas’s debut Kinky Knickers range. Ed Burstell also oversaw the opening of Liberty’s first ever pop-up store at Westfield Stratford, targeting tourists and Olympic shoppers. Other successful collaborations with brands including Gola and Barbour have taken advantage of the famed Liberty prints.

This year’s high… Burstell appeared on The Apprentice this year as a guest judge.
