Top 100: 67. Monique Fischer

Vice-president, international sales, Gerry Weber

Retaining its position in the top 10 best-selling mainstream womenswear brands in Drapers’ Indie Index rankings just goes to show that German brand Gerry Weber continues to have a popular following in the UK, partly due to Monique Fischer. The brand reported a 13% increase in sales revenues for its 2010/11 full year and in October announced plans to double its UK store count with a focus on market towns, with plans to open another 15 shops in 2013. Currently Gerry Weber has 430 stores worldwide, of which 240 are run by franchise partners while the rest are company owned. It also operates about 2,000 shop-in-shops worldwide and is present in countries including Dubai, Canada, Poland and Slovakia.
