Top 100: 71. Mark Bage

Chief executive and creative director, Coggles

It is proof of Mark Bage’s eye for business that Coggles is so well respected, despite the indie having no physical store presence in London. In York, Bage has been keeping his end up by offering great service and an interesting brand mix, exemplified by this year’s B Store installation, taking the London-based label into new territory. But Coggles is no indie minnow - Bage has grown the business set up by his mother into a serious player through its popular ecommerce site. Sales are up and newness abounds; the cherry on the cake came this year when Bage’s business was named number one Inspiring Indie by Drapers.

Least likely to… Be seen with his top button undone.
