Top 100: 98. Kevin Thompson

UK & Northern European managing director, Children’s Worldwide Fashion

A re-entry this year is Kevin Thompson of Children’s Worldwide Fashion (CWF) - who last appeared on the list in 2009 - after branching the French kidswear group out into the UK retail arena. Thompson has seen plenty of recent successes, with CWF having acquired the licence for Little Marc Jacobs last year, adding to an already impressive line-up that includes Boss Kidswear, Burberry and Chloé. What’s more, for spring 13 CWF is launching its first in-house brand, called Billiebush, a girls’ collection aimed at newborns to 12-year-olds, which will bridge the gap between CWF’s premium and high street selections. There are few operators in the UK kidswear sector doing what Thompson is doing and the nation’s junior fashionistas have lots to thank him for.
