Women’s design boss Coffin quits AllSaints

AllSaints womenswear design director Hannah Coffin is leaving the retailer after eight years to set up her own label.

Coffin is said to be leaving the premium young fashion retailer “imminently”.

Coffin’s responsibilities will be taken over by menswear design director Wil Beedle, who has been promoted to the new role of chief creative director, in charge of both womenswear and menswear.

Coffin’s quirky, edgy styling helped to turn AllSaints into one of the most exciting retailers on the high street. Coffin, who has previously sat on Drapers’ Next Generation judging panel, cut her teeth at Karen Millen, which was co-founded by AllSaints chairman Kevin Stanford. She has been in her current role for four years.

A source close to the situation said Coffin would be “launching the brand later this year”, although it is not known for which season.

AllSaints is still on the hunt for a chief executive following the departure of Stephen Craig, who resigned from the role last September due to a “lack of clarity” between his role and chairman Kevin Stanford.

An AllSaints spokeswoman said: “Hannah has been an inspirational leader and contributor to AllSaints.

We thank her for her contribution and wish her success in her new venture.”

Coffin declined to comment.
