And she was right: resale has gathered further steam in 2018, and Vestiaire continues to lead the way in this market.
The site launched in Paris in 2009 and now sells in more than 50 countries.
In October, the business underwent a brand refresh, as it targets international customers with a new website design and marketing campaign.
The priority for 2019 is international expansion: incoming chief executive Maximilian Bittner has a background in south-east Asian retail, and Asia is now the immediate focus.
