Mary Homer has been focused on improving The White Company’s IT and infrastructure this year, after a solid set of results in 2017.
She joined the fashion and homeware retailer in March 2017 and by December, the company revealed a rise in full-year profits and sales, despite tougher trading conditions.
Operating profit grew 2% to £17.6m in the year to 25 March 2017 – the most recent results available – while sales rose by 7.6% to £198.4m. The company now has 57 stores in the UK, two in Ireland and debuted in the US with two stores. It also invested in a new web platform and warehouse management system.
Company founder Chrissie Rucker received an OBE in January. In March, The White Company moved into a 32,000 sq ft London head office in Television Centre, White City, the former home of the BBC.
