How I got here: William Kim, chief executive of AllSaints

William Kim joined AllSaints in October 2012 as chief executive, with a vision to expand the brand’s global reach, as well as to maximise both existing and new product opportunities across all distribution channels.

Kim has driven growth in the core UK, US and Asian and Asian markets, while expanding the brand’s global awareness by venturing into new territories, such as Canada, the Netherlands, Germany and France.

Most recently, AllSaints has established an exclusive franchise partnership with in the Middle East with Majid Al Futtaim, and opened its first store at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai in September 2015, with stores scheduled to follow across five countries in the Middle East.

Under Kim’s leadership, AllSaints has internally developed and launched a responsive, in addition to several innovative digital projects, which have enabled the brand to further enhance customer engagement.

AllSaints also expanded its product offering with its first bag range, the Capital Collection, for autumn 15 and a range of women’s footwear is planned for spring 16.

Kim held several leadership roles at Burberry including senior vice-president of retail from 2011 to 2012, senior vice-president for digital commerce from 2010 to 2011 and vice-president and representative director for Korea, Taiwan, southeast Asia and Asia Travel Retail from 2005 to 2010.

He was director of stores at Abercrombie & Fitch from March 2005 to October 2005 leading its Japanese expansion, and spent seven years at the Gucci Group, holding senior roles in global markets across numerous divisions, including Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Gucci Watches & Jewellery and Bedat & Co.
