Peter Mandelson to speak at BRC dinner

Lord Peter Mandelson, secretary of state for business enterprise and regulatory reform, is to be the keynote speaker at the British Retail Consortium’s (BRC) annual retail industry dinner.

Peter Mandelson will address around 1,300 delegates from the retail industry, government and civil service at the dinner in September.

BRC director general Stephen Robertson said: “As a major figure in the prime minster’s inner circle, he will provide first hand insight into government thinking in reviving the economy as retailing faces the toughest trading conditions in decades.”

This year’s event will take place on September 23 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
