Phase Eight to reopen Winchester store following fire

Mainstream womenswear retailer Phase Eight is to reopen its Winchester store following a fire at the premises in January.

The refurbished store, located on the site of the former store on the corner of Parchment Street and the High Street, will reopen on May 17.

The refurbished store will have more selling space, after the building was stripped back to maximise space.

The store spans 2,900 sq ft over two stores and will carry the retailer’s key collections, as well as the premium range Collection 8 and a new bridal lounge.

Fire crews were called to the Phase Eight store in Winchester at 7.09pm on January 1, after a commercial bin was set alight and pushed through the window of the shop.

Last month Phase Eight opened a new London flagship store on James Street, just off St Christopher’s Place.
