Pitti Uomo Autumn 14 - Day Two Brand to Watch: Atelier Scotch

Scotch and Soda’s new premium menswear tailoring line has shown its debut collection at Pitti Uomo for autumn 14.

It is headed up by an entirely new team to the label with former Boss Black brand director Rob Van Bilson at the helm.

Operating on a price level about 40% higher than the Scotch and Soda mainline (although wholesale prices have yet to be finalised) the collection marks the 7th sub-brand for the label. Two fits work across the 100 piece collection; slim fit and skinny fit. Items include blazers, suits, trousers and knitwear, all of which have a strong emphasis on tailoring and all are designed to work as layers. For example, a voluminous cardigan is designed with loosely structured shoulders to fit over a blazer, while gilets are pared back in volume to fit under outerwear.

The brand is going into 14 territories, in Europe and Australia and is targeting premium independents and department stores.
