Outre outerwear
Asos is making statements for autumn 18 with eye-catching outerwear. From oversized leopard spots on long, wide-lapelled coats in fake fur (another trend to watch), to mannish tailored crombies given a spin via contrasting bold colours, print-emblazoned puffas and raw-hemmed supersized trench coats with floral underlayers – it is what is on the outside that counts.
Dash through the decades
From Studio 54-inspired disco sparkle, to 1970s high-waisted sequinned flares and tiger stripes, to 1990s nostalgia in the form of tartan kilts and pastel twin sets that have stepped straight off the set of cult film Clueless, autumn 18 is a season of throwbacks.
Cord of course
Tailoring continues to be a focal point next season, but the Asos update opts for wide-legged trousers and slouchy, boxy blazers reworked in cosy corduroy. In addition to classic autumnal browns, punchy pastels add a fresh perspective to the trend.
