Men’s young fashion brand Bellfield has launched a womenswear collection for autumn 12 to build on the success of its menswear line.
The 40-piece collection, which includes outerwear, heavy-gauge knitwear and skinny jeans, offers stockists a 3.5 mark-up with wholesale prices from £10 to £22.
“It offers high street prices at own-label margins,” said Juls Dawson, managing director of Just Consultancies, which represents the brand.
The menswear range, which launched for spring 12, has 130 UK stockists including Selfridges, Asos, JD Sports Fashion-owned chain Scotts, and young fashion indies Accent in Leeds and Richmond Classics in Bournemouth.
Dawson will target similar retailers with the womenswear. “We’re looking to support branded retailers that don’t have the vehicle for own labels,” he said.
The short-order brand will be available to view at Just Consultancies’ Rivington Street showroom in east London on July 1, and orders will be delivered within one month.
Meanwhile, Dawson is set to expand his agency with the launch of a Northern showroom in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. It will open at the beginning of July, replicating the brands carried in London including Dawson’s own Friend or Faux label.
