Spring 11

The collection Contemporary shapes feature in a much bigger way at Bianca for spring 11 than for previous seasons, with slim-legged trousers and a modern reptile-print option on fitted skirts and trousers. There is also more leather on offer, with long-line biker styles and classic blazer cuts. The brand majors on colour with mint, emerald, peach and bright blue tones lifting the ubiquitous taupe and slate staples. There are still a few embellished and padded

shoulders with eyelet or small stud details, though in the main, silhouettes are soft with loose jackets in jersey and plenty of draping knitwear. Long-sleeved T-shirts have either strong graphics or delicate sketch-like prints. New for this season, Bianca has launched a small jewellery line with necklaces priced at £7.95 to help with outfit building.

Liz D’Esterre

Regional manager

“We’re selling differently this season because we have much more contemporary styles, so we’ve been asking buyers if they want a classic or contemporary look and then picking out pieces depending on their direction. Some people are buying from both looks. It’s incredible how buying differs across the country and the collection has to be big enough to include what all of them want - it’s grown this season. Everyone’s budgets have been slightly up this season so far and we’ve got more new appointments booked than usual.”
