Accessories brand Ada Rose is targeting the contemporary market with its debut spring 13 collection, as founder Lisa Stickley Levis lays out expansion plans for the label.
The collection, designed by Levis, who left homewares brand Lisa Stickley London last year after a falling out with investors, comprises accessories ranging from wallets and silk scarves to handbags, including clutch bags and larger totes.
“It’s very elegant and ladylike,” said Levis. “It’s all print-based with leather detailing and trim.”
Prints include watercolour flower prints and graphic patterns.
Levis added Ada Rose would sit well alongside brands including See by Chloé, Marc Jacobs and By Malene Birger, with wholesale prices ranging from £11 to £45. Sales will be handled in-house.
Levis said after the debut season, expanding the brand’s offer would be next on her agenda: “I’d love to do clothing and would also love to do swimwear for real women with shapes.”
Ada Rose could also expand overseas, as Levis is in talks with potential partners in Japan and the US.
