Bourne ramping up womenswear offer

Women’s footwear and clothing brand Bourne will almost double its clothing offer for spring 13 in a bid to secure more stockists.

Bourne, which launched its womenswear range of smart dresses, skirts and separates for autumn 12, securing 40 stockists, will expand the collection for spring 13 from 11 to 20 styles. Jewellery will also be introduced for spring 13.

It will target stockists including indie Sarah Coggles, designer mini-chain Cruise and multiples including House of Fraser and John Lewis.

“We had a good reaction for autumn 12 and feel we can build on that for spring 13,” said sales director Michael Lambourne.

The brand is also aiming to open its first standalone stores within the next two years. “Our dream is to have our own Bourne stores and to do that we need to have a complete range of products including clothing, footwear and accessories,” said Lambourne.

Wholesale prices for Bourne’s spring 13 womenswear range from £30 for a skirt to £55 for a dress.
