Our pick of some of spring 14’s best accessories offers.
“Practicality and simplicity are still the fundamental design elements,” explains Kate Sheridan of her eponymous British accessories line, but for spring 14 the Cordwainers-trained designer has added a “playful twist” to the look. This comes through most notably in the digital-print pieces, a new development for the season, with monkeys and scratchy brushstroke patterns proving most popular with its 30 UK stockists. Italian leathers, waxed denim and sailboat materials add a textural element to the 28-piece Made in England range.
Wholesale prices £5 for a cardholder to £150 for digital-print leather bag

The third collection from British brand Golden Lane sees a continuation of its classic satchels and clutches in Italian leather and a more directional plastic. Incorporating crocodile and goatskin for spring 14, the range, all handmade in Spain, comes in colours from traditional black to pastels and metallic, with silver selling particularly well. With Fenwick on Bond Street its primary UK stockist, the brand hopes to increase its UK presence. A new collaboration with Richard Nicoll should see the brand’s star rise.
Wholesale prices £60 to £95 for clutches to £135 to £175 for satchels

Founded in Stockholm in 2010, Unit Portables offers its 14 UK stockists a satisfyingly straightforward Scandinavian approach to accessories. The numbered system of bags, pouches and sleeves, all made in China, is designed to be modular, allowing shoppers to customise how they carry things by clipping additional Unit Portables pieces onto the bags. Constructed in a hardy array of polyesters, meshes and high-density foams, as well as a more luxurious leather, the range comes in a simple selection of colours, including black, navy, khaki and orange. For spring 14 there is a new backpack called Unit 17.
Wholesale prices £10 for additional storage to £40 for an overnight bag
