Burberry full year results: Top ten numbers to know

Burberry’s full year results for the year to March 31 were published today, here are the top ten numbers to know:

  • 24% rise in revenue to £1.857bn
  • 26% rise in adjusted profit before tax, up to £376m
  • 68% of revenue came from retail – £1.27bn
  • 26% of revenue came from wholesale - £478m
  • 6% of revenue came from licensing – £109m
  • 15% rise in wholesale/retail revenues in Europe to £553m
  • 192 mainline stores globally owned by Burberry
  • 208 concessions within department stores globally
  • £180-200 is the predicted capital expenditure for next year
  • 15 mainline stores planned to open next financial year
