Having come 14th in the Drapers Power List of top 100 influential fashion figures, this has been a golden year for Miss McCartney having dressed the Great Britain Olympic and Paralympic teams for success and bagged herself the Designer of the Year award at the British Fashion Council.

Next up came Chanel’s head honcho Karl Lagerfeld, followed by lingerie leaders Victoria’s Secret, British designer Alice Temperley (number 87 on the Drapers Power List) and then Versace.

And the overall most Googled phrase, who else but the Duchess of Cambridge (who came 16th on the Drapers Power List).
