The clean lines and minimalist aesthetic in Calvin Klein’s autumn 10 collection had more than a hint of severity to them. Models strutted down the New York catwalk in carefully cut shift dresses and suits in either black, white or silver. Volume came through on aggressive, puffed sleeves and cocoon-like coats. There was an air of efficiency and movement to the collection, with raglan shirts worn with super-slim creased trousers and silk dresses that fell in sumptuous waves. Overall though, this was a dull collection by Calvin Klein’s standards.
