Calvin Klein

The look Soft and fluid femininity that at times bore a close resemblance to lingerie, in almost nude tones. A pleasant contrast to the bright and bold shows seen earlier in the week.

Key pieces Clingy camisole and thin-strapped fitted slip dresses were seen throughout with floaty hems and contour hems that shaped dresses close to the body. Simple tailored jackets were also key with open necklines.

Colours Washed-out pale tones, dominated by nude and the palest shades of purple and yellow alongside black.

Commercial appeal Calvin Klein followed his own direction in New York, bucking many of the week’s key trends. Although this might mean the collection’s influence might not be felt on the high street for spring 12, the simplicity of the offer will sit well with the label’s core customer.
