Spring 11

The look A minimal aesthetic met with balletic silhouettes and girlish undertones as Chloé channelled contemporary dancers.

Key pieces A white, mid-height funnel-neck coat with a high front slit was smartly tailored and highlighted the minimal direction. Tight leotards twinned with full tulle skirts gave tutus a sophisticated twist. Asymmetric Grecian-style dresses with flowing skirts in chocolate impressed.

Commercial appeal Dance-like silhouettes will penetrate the younger end of the market while the minimal palette of white, cream and chocolate will feature across the piece. However, the range could have benefited from more spring-like twists in palette and in cut.

Footwear and accessories Ballet flats were true to the technical ballet dance shoe rather than the ubiquitous ballet pump and came in red and peach.
