Autumn 11

The look Sharp, modish men’s tailoring details informed DKNY’s collection, which tapped into autumn 11’s tobacco palette via bookish Ivy League styling.

Key pieces Tobacco, flood-length tailored trousers, block-stripe knits and a db swing-coat/tuxedo hybrid stood out, but the sweet, bright white Peter Pan collars on shirts stole the show.

Commercial appeal The use of a bold stripe configuration on knitwear and some strong tailored outwear options, including an sb blazer with large tab top pockets, made this collection highly commercial. Autumn 11’s key tobacco shade was effectively employed on trousers. The contrast of woollen coats worn with loosely woven knits over the top of cotton shirts will give buyers the opportunity to sell more items per transaction.
