Dries Van Noten

Spring 12

The look A modern take on sporty outdoor pursuits, dominated by protective and functional outerwear for the man who goes hunting, shooting and fishing.

Key pieces Parkas, anoraks, zip-through jackets and sporty bomber jackets with practical pocket details and drawstring hoods, worked in technical nylons and coated fabrics. Casual tailoring had a sheened finish, db blazers stood out and stripes were on everything from trousers to knitwear. Shirts, jackets and knits featured contrasting colour blocks, bringing interest to simple pieces.

Colours A range of aubergine and midnight blue, with sandy neutrals and accents of orange and yellow.

Commercial appeal Outerwear was key in Paris; this collection offers great inspiration for spring 12 jacket styles, with a functional twist that also works with the season’s overall sportswear direction.
