Giorgio Armani

Spring 11

The look A mixture of Sahara Desert and Art Deco inspired Giorgio Armani, with nomadic turban headdresses and tribal jewellery giving a bit of edge to classic silk and sequin gowns.

Key pieces City-ready pleated trousers were cut narrow and came paired with sheer panelled tops. A plunging-neckline sequin gown gave the collection’s eveningwear some wow factor.

Commercial appeal Pleated trousers and leather jackets teamed with turbans doesn’t sound a natural match, but the tailored trousers and off-the-shoulder tops were as elegant as the floor-length gowns due to the attention to detail.

Footwear and accessories Pointed satin flats with leather ankle cuffs worked neatly with tapered trousers. Clutch bags were delicate and chunky fabric bracelets reflected the North African theme.
