Jean Paul Gaultier

Autumn 10

Jean Paul Gaultier’s sermon on fighting fit sports-luxe looks made skin-tight silhouettes look relaxed and cosy. In biscuit and grey marl, sweater suits and cotton jersey jogging pants were teamed with leather jackets in biker and clean-line leather bomber silhouettes, while luxe hoodies in cotton jersey underlined a boxing theme. On torsos, while there were some more voluminous options in the shape of Aran sweaters and leather trench coats, it was mostly about defining a manly musculature, a shape defined by the body-skimming double-breasted tailoring.
