Jil Sander

Spring 11

The look Summer in a city garden.

Silhouette Simple, casual pieces and relaxed tailoring.

Key pieces The simple T-shirt or roll-sleeved knit were the lynchpins in a collection that played with simple shapes - the 2sb, slim-legged trousers, boxer-style shorts and the commuter mac. The belted jacket, suit or cropped coat were the only slightly self-conscious deviations.

Colours A riot of colour brought this collection to life, worked as bold colour-blocked pieces and prints of eye-searing stripes. Think lemon, daffodil, aqua, mint, cobalt, mandarin and coral pink.

Fabrics Sleek suiting, cottons, jersey and lightweight cire.

Prints Smudgy all-over florals and optic multicoloured stripes.

Details Self-belt details and fan-pleat back details made a self-conscious design statement.

Footwear Simple lace-ups with coloured soles.
