Antonio Berardi

Spring 11

The look This collection defined elegance without leaning on clichéd designs to convey femininity.

Key pieces Berardi’s highlights were his long, flowing, pink dress with short front hem and train, his cropped jackets and his use of soft, floral-inspired motifs on romantic dresses.

Commercial appeal Berardi backed one of the freshest silhouettes seen at LFW. Topshop has had examples of the short hemlined dress with a long train on the shopfloor in recent months, but it looks like this trend will go wide for spring 11. Give dresses like this some balance by merchandising alongside cropped khaki or silver metallic jackets.

Footwear and accessories Simple gold hoops with large gold leaf and petal detail conveyed the collection’s sensibility perfectly, feminine but not too girly.
