Burberry Prorsum

Spring 12

The look An autumnal feel incorporating a combination of beads, weaves, parkas and prints.

Key pieces Classic trenches and parkas refreshed with African prints and fresh detailing. Handcrafted wooden bead patterns gave necklines on tops something extra. Midi-length skirts ranged from high-waisted pencil to fuller skirts, and outfits were topped off with baker boy caps complete with pom poms.

Colours Beetroot, chocolate, ochre and teal colours gave the range its autumnal feel. Splashes of azure and gooseberry green plus tribal prints with touches of tangerine lifted the collection.

Commercial appeal With prints a strong trend for spring 12, Burberry’s tribal take on it is bound to please. Below-the-knee skirts are sure to be a hit and the muted palette will satisfy those intimidated by the brights.
