Spring 11

The look Think Christopher Kane autumn 10 turned feminine with ivory lace and delicate embroidery mixed with prints. Along with Christopher Kane, Erdem was the star show of the week.

Key pieces Erdem is a master of the digital print and voluminous printed maxi dresses in cream and green were beautiful. Buttoned-high lace shirts and lace shift dresses embroidered with scarlet poppy motifs were also a winner.

Commercial appeal He might not like to be called commercial but Erdem is just that. This collection’s influences will run deep, undoubtedly selling out in high-end department stores and influencing much of the high street. White lace may seem like hard sell, but not for this master designer.

Footwear and accessories Ribbon ties snaked around the ankle, sometimes in matchy-matchy prints to the dresses.
