Jaeger London

Spring 12

The look The collection is inspired by the glamour of the 1960s and early 1970s jet-setters and their travels to far-flung, exotic destinations.

Key pieces A 1960s-style shift dress in striking multicoloured stripes; an updated, more formal take on the nautical trend with a blue striped top and mustard skirt; and a navy skirt and jacket with cut-out detail worn with a green wide-brimmed hat all stood out.

Colours Pastels mixed with classic navy, white and cream led into more striking burnt oranges, mustards and flashes of bright red.

Commercial appeal This collection will appeal to consumers, and most pieces could be taken straight off the catwalk and put into their wardrobes. Jaeger showcased the trend for broderie cutwork, appliqué and knife pleats with sheer silk chiffon overlayed on skirts and dresses.
