London Fashion Week preview: Christopher Raeburn

Keep an eye out for Raeburn’s new approach to femininity, which takes off from where his menswear show finished, with sandstorm desert inspirations. His extended accessories offer promises to keep buyers happy.

What were your key inspirations?

Spring 14 womenswear is a focus on print, lightweight layering, a new femininity and extended fabric research. Desert mirages provide a poetic backdrop, like billowing silk fabrics in the desert winds.

What are the key items?

This season has a much broader dress selection for womenswear, as well as a larger accessories collection.

How has it been creating this collection?

I’ll have mixed views when the show starts but the best feeling is when you just feel ready. The team and support is fantastic so I always feel proud of what we’ve achieved. This season we are looking forward to showing the Christopher Raeburn world in a bigger BFC space.

  • Friday September 13, 3pm, BFC Courtyard Show Space
