London Fashion Week preview: House of Holland

Autumn 13 was all about raving grandmas and gaudy 1970s prints, but House of Holland looks to religious icons and LA Cholo mobs for spring, according to designer Henry Holland. Better get practising your gang signs.

What were your key inspirations for spring 14?

Cholo street gangs, [film director] Baz Luhrmann’s psychedelic reality and religious iconography.

What are the key materials?

Hand-painted leather, Lurex jacquards and androgynous checks.

How has it been creating this collection?

It has been really fun surreptitiously entering the world of LA street gangs without the scary reality.
