London Fashion Week preview: Sister by Sibling

Bonkers knitwear trio Sibling won’t tone down their Sister womenswear line, says the label’s Cozette McCreery.

What are your inspirations for autumn 13?

Paula Yates, the artist Chad Wys - especially his Readymades series on figurines and canvas - dots, flowers, chintz and traditional knit.

What are the key items?

For us it’s about the total look, more specifically the knitted three-piece and knitted accessories.

And your key colours and fabrics?

Wools from Scotland alongside polyester mixes for that slightly technical, body-hugging but fabric-wise oddly grandma feel. The palette is based around the dirty pastels from Sibling autumn 13.

What’s it been like creating this collection?

The autumn season is where we can truly have fun without the worry of garments being heavy, which is a huge problem for spring. Also, although it’s been exhausting, we’ve had such a good reaction to Sibling autumn 13 that this helps get us through our tiredness.
