London Fashion Week preview: Sister by Sibling

Menswear brand Sibling’s little sister collection matures even more for spring, as Sister by Sibling upgrades to the BFC show space at Somerset House with a womenswear collection based on sportswear shapes and Tupperware colours, according to Cozette McCreery, one third of the label’s design team.

What were your key inspirations?

Tupperware. The colours are so fantastically Sibling: often brash, hard-edged pastels. We love the idea of a young woman dressed in a much older way - to us it feels youthful and pretty. Another inspiration was the stylist Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, who playfully mixes sportswear with couture.

What are the key items?

The three-piece look that our buyers know and love us for, printed knits, jacquard dresses and mesh.

What are the key colours and fabrics?

Red, Tupperware pastels, and chevron textures with sparkle provided by Swarovski crystals knitted in yarns and used as hand-sewn embellishment.
