London Fashion Week preview: Zoe Jordan

Having originally studied architecture, it will come as no surprise that the interiors and exteriors of some of Europe’s most beautiful buildings have had an influence on Zoe Jordan’s latest collection.

What were your key inspirations for autumn 13?

European architecture - stark minimalist, monochrome interiors versus the Duomos (Cathedrals) of renaissance Italy.

What are the key items?

A shearling jacket with a leather trim, metallic mock-croc party pieces and a strapless bodycon dress in leather and jersey. I’ve really experimented with interesting fabric combinations and textures this season

Key colours and fabrics?

Monochrome with colour pops of fuschia and tomato. Spring 13 had a lot of colour whereas autumn is more about the texture and silhouette with a more muted colour palette

How has it been creating this collection?

As with every season it’s exciting and stressful in equal measure! Some of the pieces in this collection have been in development for several seasons and I’m so excited that we’ve finally nailed them – I can’t wait to see them on the catwalk.
