London Fashion Week: Roksanda Ilincic

Having seen so much pretty pinkness this season, it felt like Ilincic had already moved ahead by giving the girly colour a moodier edge.

Her designs had a rebellious element, with vivid greens and burnt oranges clashing against the pale pastel. The fabric was rebellious too, with PVC transposing Ilincic’s usual softer textures and sitting strangely alongside crystal embellishment, although the scrunching noise as models passed by may leave buyers unconvinced.

In short This in-your-face, almost ironic femininity may fall short in the real world.
