London Fashion Week: Topshop Unique

Topshop linked up with Google+ for its latest show but you didn’t need to use the search engine to discover why this was the strongest Unique collection in a while.

Where spring was a bit of a hit or miss, ‘I’m feeling lucky’ affair, autumn gave us results, as Kate Phelan progressed towards making Unique the older sister to Topshop’s youthful mainline. Yet it wasn’t too grown-up - it felt very of the moment, as proportions were played with, with full skirts, roomy trousers and mannish outerwear fashioned in contrasting shiny, textural, sparkly and fluffy materials.

In short The palette and silhouette were dead contemporary and will look great at retail, even if the price points will be pretty punchy for the average Toppers punter.
