Mary Katrantzou

Spring 12

The look Flower power prints in a vivacious palette that screamed to be noticed.

Key pieces Fashion’s favourite Mary Katrantzou’s collection was bursting with saturated reworked florals on her trademark structured dresses and tailored blazers and silk trousers. A tapestry-esque jumper and biker jacket nodded to the sports trend. Tunics and dresses had silk chiffon trains, with the one-shoulder dress also key.

Colours Sunshine brights with poppy red, turquoise, sunflower yellow and meadow green.

Commercial appeal The floral jackets and jumpers are likely to have the most successful translation to the high street. Katrantzou’s structured dresses were much softer and more commercial than her last two seasons but no less standout, particularly in the floral and new abstract seabed prints.
