The look Models showed off the Meadham Kirchhoff duo’s collection with military precision, marching down the catwalk at breakneck speed. There was a uniform theme in the clothing, too, as pinafore dresses resembled Sunday school attire and echoed religious iconography, with rosary beads hung around models’ necks.

Key pieces Reminiscent of a US prairie girl, the handwoven full skirts had three tiers of fabric fanning out for a layered effect. Calf-length skirts and dresses were bang on trend and there were some strong knitted jumpers.

Commercial appeal The theatre of a Meadham Kirchhoff show can sometimes dominate the craftsmanship. Elements of this collection, such as the fleeced jackets with toggle fastening and the layered skirts in vivid blood red, are sure to warrant success in the more directional market.
