The look Paul Costelloe kicked off London Fashion Week with tweeds, checks and florals. 1960s inspiration came through with jackets swinging from the back and short hemlines on skater skirts. Mustard, mulberry and olive green tones dominated with flashes of metallics.

Key pieces A sleeveless, exaggerated collar dress in mustard that nipped in at the waist and flared out was a highlight, as was a metallic green dress and matching box jacket and skirt combinations.

Commercial appeal Costelloe had some great contemporary pieces in the collection, including the short skater skirts and metallic yarn dresses. These will target a younger consumer, while the longer, floral-print skirts and strong outerwear will continue to please his established, older customer.
