Rescued Paul Costelloe opens London Fashion Week

A newly rescued Paul Costelloe opened London Fashion Week this morning sending a flurry of checks, skater skirts and boxy jackets down the catwalk.

Paul Costelloe, whose womenswear license was rescued from administration by Portugeuse supplier Cesar Araujo, earlier this week, did not disappoint with it autumn 11 collection.

Heavy wool and tweed jackets with silver brocade and pronounced pockets were prominent, with olive green and mulberry the key colour palletes. Metallics shone through in bright watercolour prints on dresses.

The men’s collection, which is licensed to suit supplier Berwin & Berwin, featured an aubergine velvet jacket, tweed suits with chocolate and taupe the main colours.

Drapers will be live streaming the shows from London Fashion Week until it ends with the men’s day on February 23. To view the live streamed shows and videos click here.
