Richard Nicoll

Iridescent and high-shine fabrics shone under the bright lights of the catwalk.

The look Iridescent and high-shine fabrics shone under the bright lights of the catwalk. Movement was key, as billowing trains and capes draped elegantly on the back of dresses and sheer blouses. Sheer sleeves were cuffed at the wrist or cut to a cap sleeve. Shades of gold, peach, mandarin and teal made for a decadent collection.

Key pieces The dresses with long trains had show-stopping appeal - particularly a mandarin silk dress cut into an empire line and a teal-green dress with sheer sleeves.

Commercial appeal Metallic yarns and iridescent fabrics are key for autumn 11, and will look eye-catching on the shopfloor. Richard Nicoll’s high-shine fabric outerwear will look fresh come autumn 11. Cream wool coats came with vertical, cocoon-like collars.
