Roksanda Ilincic

Spring 11

The look Floaty silk dresses mixed with tailored wide-leg trousers at Roksanda Ilincic’s catwalk. Dresses came with billowing sleeves, with slits for the arms creating a cape effect. The palette stuck to neutrals accented with coral and azure blue.

Key pieces A putty-coloured silk organza dress was folded and tucked to add loose structure and give shape at the waist. A tailored dress with ruffled peplum, asymmetric neckline and pleat detail also grabbed the eye.

Commercial appeal Neutral shades made for a commercial palette and its feminity should sell to an older shopper.

Footwear and accessories Long headscarves trailed over the shoulder and spilled down the sides of dresses. Shoes were high peep-toe suede courts or had suede and leather strapping across the bridge of the foot.
